		<description>Hi Shelley,
I wondered that one myself! I have had Type II Diabetes for close to 15
years....and had my open RNY on 2/7/01.....I have yet to "dump". And
believe me....I've tested the boundaries. I wanted to know what it was
like, I wanted that extra insurance policy that would help keep me on the
straight and narrow...and I am one of the few who doesn't seem to dump no
matter what I've tried. I'm done testing, I just assume I don't and am
working on being as disciplined as I can so that I don't go crazy since I
can get away with it!
Also, I was on 3 oral meds for diabetes and am now medication free!
Actually was down to one med when I left the hospital with a reduced dosage
and then about 2 months later completely med free and my Hemoglobin A1C is
down to 6.4 as of my last lab work. :)
