Coloring hair prior to surgery?

I am scheduled for surgery on Jan. 11th and am wanting to color my
hair prior to surgery. Does anyone know a reason why I should wait
until after surgery? Thanks.

    There is no reason you can not color your hair prior
    to surgery:) I would recommend that people refrain
    from getting a perm but hair color will be fine.
