New here, and things moving quickly!
Hi everyone! My name is Krissy and I am 30, with 3 kids, and have
been looking into WLS for over 2 years now. I finally got myself
together and got my consultation Dec 20, letter to insurance Dec. 31,
and approval a couple of days ago, I found out today! I am so
excited, I can’t believe it was that easy. All I need to get is my
deductible together, it isn’t too much. I just am in total shock!
I scheduled my surgery for March 8, could have had it in 2 weeks, but
I need to wait till spring break so that I don’t have to miss any work
(I hope) because I am a school bus driver.
I am nervous, and scared, my husband is really scared I think, he
wants me to be happy, healthy, and just feel good about myself, but
he doesn’t want to lose me, either. His big question is “what if you
die?” That scares me, although I have not actually heard of anyone
dying from this under the care of a good surgeon.
Anyway, LAP RNY is what I am having done, and I am ready for a new
life, eating healthy foods and being able to finally show my children
how to have a healthy lifestyle.
I just want to scream for joy!
