Hi Friends!
I’m back finally. Survived Thyroid Surgery Christmas Eve and thank the good
Lord it was benign.
I had my 3 month check up 1/18/02. I’ve lost 50% of my excess weight and all
the lab work checked out just perfect. Couldn’t ask for anything better than
that. All along, I’ve known I was losing weight, could see a bit in my face,
some of my clothes had more room in them you all know the story.
Last Oct. I wore a 28 into the hospital. Since then, I hadn’t bought any
clothes. I told my husband I was going to wait until things started falling off
of me. Unfortunately, nothing has fallen off yet… but my head knew that my
clothes were getting a tad bit big. You know those 24’s on up.
Well, thank heavens my father is retiring from his job as a police chief. My
husband and I were invited to suprise him at the banquet. So typical woman
here… you know honey, I have nothing that fits (REALLY!!!) I just had to go
shopping today.

Hello. How is everyone???
Ok. Is a Panniculectomy the same thing as a “Tummy Tuck” I mean dont
the Dr do the same thing? Like tighten the muscles and add a new
belly button and all?? Why is a Panniculectomy for obease people and
tummy tuck used for those with extra tummy because of a baby?? I was
just wondering if they were the same or not. Thanks for your help.

i was asked to forward this along. It is regarding yesterday’s phone blitz
and was forwarded to me by a representative of Senator Wachtmann’s. I want
to give both sides to the issue and since I said Senator Wachtmann was
trying to kill the bill or was against it, I feel that I also should give
his side. I learned from reading this and talking to his office at length
today.

Lost over 90% of excess and maintaining
Gained a beautiful daughter on 8/9/00

I got good news!

Thursday, May 29th, 2003

I have been accepted to University of Akron Law School and granted a full
scholarship! I am going to be a lawyer! Now I just have to decide what type
of law I want to practice! I never would have thought I would be going to
law school. It was something I didn’t seriously consider until this past
October but I took the LSAT (scored in the 92nd percentile) and went to the
open house. I was still only considering going parttime but it was suggested
that I apply for fulltime on the condition of a financial aid package. I
switched to that and not only was admitted but was given a full tuition
scholarship! YES! YES YES! I am a bit happy!

“Tabling a bill”

Thursday, May 29th, 2003

Oh about some of the calls yesterday — quite a few people asked that
senator’s office hold hearings and table the bill. If that was anyone
calling in support please know that if the office were to table the bill it
would die. That is what tabling the bill means. To kill it.
That is the last thing we want.

Regarding yesterday

Thursday, May 29th, 2003

First of all I want to say thank you to all that called. There was a
multitude of calls — so many that the senator’s office changed to voice
mail at noon. That would have been great. I say would have been because
apparently quite a few of the calls consisted of people swearing and cursing
and some threatened the senator. Ummmm.. folks.. I am not trying to chastise
you — I can understand why tempers are running high and emotion is deep.
But there is an old saying that “you catch more flies with honey than
vinegar.” Yesterday apparently a lot of vinegar was served. Please don’t do
that. I spoke to a few people today after someone informed me of the
situation. I call it a situation because searing and cursing can ruin our
chances. As can threatening a state senator. Yes i called him “the damn
committee chair” and I admitted that today in my phone calls. The upshoot is
I heard today that there will be hearings scheduled. And we will be moving
forward. However, they have some other hearings to get through first. Anyway
I just wanted to let you guys know. Again I am not trying to chastise anyone

Can We Have Honey?

Thursday, May 29th, 2003

Hello
I have one quick question, Can we have honey? Yesterday, I got sick and a
coworker who does not know about my surgery brought me some Chai Tea but it
had a little honey in it. I felt instantly better after the tea and I did
not dump or maybe I will feeling better from the sugar high.
Let me know your thoughts………
