In One Pound…
… I will weigh what I have lost.
(Everyone keeps saying, “half the woman you once were!”)
*shaking head in disbelief*
Who is this person I have become?
Sarah came to see me after 4 weeks apart and she could not believe how much
smaller I have become. I lost 14 pounds in the month away from her (loads of
work and a meticulous diet). She continually commented on how small I was…
how petite… how amazing my new body had become. Parts of it were really nice
(isn’t attention usually okay?), but other aspects made me squirm since I am
still having a hard time understanding just how small I am. Sarah measured me
(I measure on my anniversary day every month, but did a few days earlier so she
could do it) and I am smaller than her in every measurement except upper arms
(and those are a mere 1/8 of an inch larger!). I cannot fathom that she and I
are the same size (she weighs 160 and I now weigh 173, but I have more muscle).
My shadow frightens me. Reflections mesmerize and scare me.
Anyway, just needed to share with you all.
The journey continues growing (as I shrink) more wondrous every single day!
