My best advice is to lie down and rest as often and as long as possible.
Give your body time to heal. You just had major surgery. Of course your
energy levels will be low. Mine didn’t pick up until about six weeks out.
Take care of yourself. You’ll be feeling better before you know it and soon
you’ll have more energy than you ever remember having before! I’m up at 5:30
am cleaning horse stalls before I go to work…. I can’t ever remember having
that kind of energy…lol. But I’m 8 months out of surgery. Hang in there
and be kind to yourself. Move and walk as much as you can, but rest too.
It’s important.

    Wendy,
However disheartening it may be your body has just gone through MAJOR CHANGES
and you just had your surgery 7 days ago. Don’t be so demanding on yourself
your body needs some time to heal. One thing we do when we heal is sleep and
rest. I know it must be frustrating to you but I’m sure the strength will
come. Just give yourself some time. I wish you the best. Sharon

    Wendy,
PLEASE give yourself some time! Its been a week! I was
tired much of the time for my first 6 weeks. Your body
is just demanding the rest it requires to heal. Do
yourself a favor and give in to it and sleep when you
feel the need to. I have 3 young children and know that
somethings just have to be done everyday in order to
care for them. Its a struggle, I know, but do your best
and take advantage of the time your son is at school to
nap. I felt like I was trudging through quicksand for
the first month, but it does improve. I also found that
when I got out and walked, I actually had more energy.
Its hard to find the get up and go to actually think
about taking a walk, I know, but it really does help.
    Good luck to you.
