I have gall stones…
Hi all,
It’s been a while since my last post, so I thought I would give you
an update! I went in today to have an ulrasound done of my gall
bladder and an upper GI series per my surgeon’s request. They found
gall stones :(. I guess its better to know ahead of time and have it
removed at the same time as my surgery! I’m still upset though. The
technician who did the ultrasound asked me if I’d ever had pain on my
right side. I have had a lot of trouble with pain in that area over
the past couple of years, but it was always very sporatic. I never
had constant pain. I always thought it was just severe gas or
something and never had my doctor check it out. I’m glad my surgeon
sent me in for testing! My upper GI went as well as could be
expected (ick). That barium liquid is just plain nasty! LOL! They
said my stomach looks good and normal. That was good to hear. I’ve
also been experiencing problems with my bladder lately. I thought I
might have a UTI, but tests say no. They took a look at my kidneys
in the ulrasound today and said they were backed up! Anyone else
ever had this problem? My pcp just gave me antibiotics. Well,
that’s about it I guess, I have my 2nd visit with the surgeon on
Thursday. The surgeon I was originally referred to is retiring so he
passed me on to another surgeon in his office. I’m looking forward
to meeting him. I have a million questions. I will keep you all
posted on my progress….
