Kim’s ???

Hi Kim…
It’s your fellow Alaskan and Dr. Todd patient reporting in. I also had
the rumblings in my tummies…it went on for a few days, but now at 13
days out, it isn’t any longer…and I honestly cannot recall when it
stopped. I think it’s normal to be scared about the energy thing….out
of the past 13 days, I think there have been about 4 where I was “stuck”
to my recliner and wondering if I should go back to work part-time the
week of the 28th….however, the last few days have been really good.
Like you, I have adopted a “one-day-at-a-time” attitude…I know that
there will be days that come up where I don’t feel optimal, but, I will
just try to remind myself that any change takes adjustment and to try
and listen to my body, but in the meantime, I am REALLY enjoying my good
days. I was/am amazed at how much energy I have in just a short time
out and all the things that I can do compared to just a week ago. So,
give your body a rest…tomorrow you may wake up and feel great, if not,

take another day or rest. As far as feeling teary and tired and
itchy…again, all things that will pass. I don’t know of any one thing
that made the turning point for me, I just tried to really determine how
I felt in the morning…do try and get up and take a walk….believe me,
it was hard to try and mentally “get up” but after I got back, I felt
good that I had at least attempted something physical. Lastly, I had my
two week follow up yesterday, and I am down 22 pounds!!! I don’t own a
scale, so it was a big surprise and a good motivator to keep up with the
pureed diet and follow all the Doc’s instructions, etc. Best of luck to
you…email me anytime: entwined@….
