But when Rutledge first left his hospital news reports were quite prolific regarding his leaving. I remember going to the websites of the news media at the time and they confirmed that he was discharged from his duties at the hospital and banned from practicing due to the fact that the MGB was little more than a loop bypass and that he was 9improperly filing insurance claims. I wanted the MGB but my insurance made me have an RNY in network. A half dozen of my friends (all medical professionals) chose this surgery after their research and are all MORE than pleased with the results. They all absolutely love Dr. R and have confirmed to me the info in Ray's post. Any time a new procedure is out there and threatening the business of an established group, there will be some backlash. As in all procedures, each of us needs to do all our OWN reading and make our own informed decision. Michele I have to agree with Ray. I wanted the MGB but my insurance made me have an

Several surgeons who are tops in the field of bariatrics have spoken out against RUtledge for what he is doing. Do a lot more research before you decide upon this.
