		<description>Christine,
I know you said you wanted to have your surgery in a big
hospital and so are looking to Philadelphia. I felt the
same way...I am from Burlington County, NJ. I, however,
chose to go to Cooper in Camden. Its really the only
hospital in SJ that I personally would trust with such a
major procedure. I used Dr. Gus Slotman. He is really
excellent. He heads up the Surgical Critical Care Unit
so you know he is prepared for any unexpected surgical
complications that could come along. He's also very kind
and supportive. I had my surgery on Dec. 10 and have
lost almost 80 lbs. I've had no complications
whatsoever. My stay at Cooper was great (considering it
IS a hospital lol). I had my surgery open but Dr.
Slotman does do them lap. Even with it being open, my
 &lt;!--more--&gt;
incision is only 3 1/2 inches long and I'd say about 75%
 faded now.
You don't say where you are from. Philadelphia has
wonderful hospitals and caregivers, but I just wanted to
let you know about my experience. I feel I had the best
of both worlds...I avoided the travel and parking hassle
of going into the city and still got the best of care.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact
 me. Good luck to you!!
