PCOS and slow weight loss

Hi everyone. I was wondering if any women who have PCOS (Polycystic
Ovarian Syndrome) have experienced a slow weight loss after surgery.
Also, have the symptoms of PCOS improved for anyone after surgery.

I had PCOS *bad* (2 periods a year for 20 years, insulin resistance to beat
the band, a huge buffalo hump on my upper back, copious facial hair, and
acne) that didn’t respond so well to the Glucophage (the #1 treatment for
PCOS, btw), but has responded beautifully to my RNY.
Before I went on the pill at about 6 months post-op (for severe PMDD), I
had a period every 28 days like clockwork, starting 28 days after my
WLS. Gradually, the buffalo hump disappeared, the facial hair has receded,
the acne is *gone* (haven’t had even ONE zit since WLS!), and without the
Glucophage (or any other diabetes meds), my glucoses are more than normal
(high post-prandials for me are about 95).
Besides all of that, I have lost easily and delightfully… well, with a
LOT of work! I lost 52 pounds the first month and a pretty steady 10
pounds a month since. This last month, I have lost 5 pounds, but that is
still pretty darned good after 14 months and 179 pounds (lost).
Slow loss might just be the way your body loses. I am a Chunk Loser… I

go weeks without losing and then lose all the month’s weight in a
chunk. Just my pattern. Some are slow and steady, others are fast and
furious. Each of us has our own patterns and there is not much we can do
about it IF we are following The Rules and doing what we are supposed to be
    doing.
PCOS and diabetes were two GIANT co-morbs I am *thrilled* to see gone.

I have PCOS which didn’t seem to affect my weight loss up to now and I am 4
months out. My PCOS got worse and I needed to go back on BCP for regularity
so my weight has plateaued for 3 weeks but I already lost 80 pounds in 4
    months.
