SKIN REDUCTION SURGERY???
Hi,
I was not sure if I wanted to get some of the excess skin on left on
my body removed but I have now decided that I want to. Does anyone
have any suggestions or doctors they would suggest.
I have also heard that some burn centers are harvesting skin from
people who have had Gastric Bypasses and providing the plastic surgery
for no or low cost. Anyone heard of this?

I heard this was a hoax (sigh).

If my memory serves me correctly, skin donations can only come from a
cadaver and not a living human. I think I remember reading that on a
Eye/Tissue bank web site.
I didn’t take the time to really learn why, but I think by some rule,
policy, or other reason,…. they said skin from a living person would have
to undergo 6 months of testing from versus less testing on a
cadaver…..dunno.
