1 YEAR ANNIVERSAY!!!

Hi everyone,
Today is my 1 year anniversary of my WLS surgery!!!
I look back on the way my life was and where I am now and I am in awe!!
I can now play easily with my kids. I can run and swim without
embarrassment. I am not looked at in disgust, but in admiration. I can fit
with ease in the theater seat which last year gave me bruises. I can now
ride the rollercoaster, which last year wouldn’t close around me. I can dance
and not only feel good but look good doing it. The leg that I broke last
year, impart due to my weight, now carries me to exercise and lifts weights
and does the stairmachine, The raw insides of my legs, due to the constant
rubbing is gone and I don’t ever have to check the inside seams of my pants
to see if I have worn them out yet.
My health.. well, I’m healthy. My BPI is now 25 from 47, my bp is 105
over 69 and my pules is great. I have lost 116 lbs. my Dr’s. are so pleased,
they tell me I could be their advertisement for their clinic. I can shop in

any store I want and I fit!! I can’t believe it is me looking back in the
mirror!!! My family, friends and especially my husband are so proud of me
and how well I am doing. My darling husband thinks I am the “hottest” thing
around and he constantly tells me. (rose colored glasses but I’m not going
to take them off him) lol..
It is like the real me has finally emerged. It is like I can swim
after drowning for so many years.
I feel good, I look great and I think anyone who is considering this
surgery should go for it!
The benefits go on and on. I was 38 with 4 kids when I had my surgery
I was scared and questioning if I was doing the right thing. With a lot of
prayer, peace came to me and I knew it was the answer God was giving me. I
thank Him every day for this second chance at life and I am determined to
succeed.
If my experience can help anyone feel free to write.
I’VE COME A LONG WAY, AND YOU CAN TOO!!

    Hi Jeanne,
I don’t know you from the man on the moon, but then again I do know who you are
and I know the person you use to be. Because it’s me. I smiled the entire time
I was reading your post. I had my surgery last year in October and I have lost
103 pounds and I am 5 lbs from my goal weight. I woke up this morning
complaining about the size of my stomach and doing crunches. But after reading
you post I stopped complaining because today i can walk without stopping to take
a breath every 5 minutes and without the horrible knee and back pain.
Thanks for reminding me of the person that I am today because of WLS. I am so
proud of you and your accomplishments.
