		<description>Hi Angel,
Ok here goes. This is actually a topic that came up at my support group
about a month ago. We were talking about complacency. The question is, are
you happy where you are at or are you on a "vacation"? Quite an interesting
 thought, isn't it?
I pondered it for a while. Hmmm, a vacation as opposed to a 10 month
plateau. What's the difference? To me, a plateau is a break your body will
take to rest for the next leg of the journey. During this time our body
shape is changing. We are losing inches if not pounds. Our body has been
through the famine and is struggling to maintain a weight or the weight we
are at. Our body is trying hard to get ready for what will happen when the
 next famine occurs!
But a vacation.....well I think that is when you get comfortable. Life
is better than it ever was. You are doing more than you ever could remember
doing. You are active and energetic. You go places and do things.
 &lt;!--more--&gt;
Shopping becomes your exercise of choice. And you graze. And you don't get
in your water. And you don't eat 3 times a day. You just grab
something.....because you can. You don't get sick much. Oh sure, sometimes
food gets stuck but you can deal with that. You're not at the weight you
 wanted to be at...but heck you're not 300, 400, 500 pounds anymore so that's
ok! This my friend is complacency. THIS IS DANGEROUS!! I know...I was
there for a year. I had myself convinced that 180 was a good place to be.
 It wasn't 160 that I wanted to be....but heck, I wasn't over 200! I was
wearing 12-14 and that's better than a 6X. Ya know, I remember when I first
went over 200. I thought, OMG, I have to lose 50 pounds. I can never do
 that, it's so much.....then it was 100, 200...you know where I'm going!
It's up to you to decide. It's your decision. At my group we talk
about the three "C's" Choices, Commitment and Change. You have to do all
three. Two of the three isn't enough. You must do all three. No
negotiating. You decide what goes into your mouth. You decide to commit
to a certain way of life. And you make the changes necessary each and every
day to implement this new way of life.
Don't know if this is what you wanted to hear.....but it is something to
 think about :o)
