Catching up
Hiya group!
I’m 2 months out and I’ve lost 50 pounds—which I am THRILLED about! I feel
great, I’m looking so much better and I have tons of energy now! My problem is
that I am having trouble eating. (before anyone says anything—yes I have put a
call in to the doctor
I chew my food very well, I eat slow–maybe not slow enough—but many things
when I eat them cause me so much pain and discomfort that I have to throw them
up. Not everything mind you–that is to say I’m not only successfully eating
soft foods or things that go down easily, I’ve eaten steak and chicken and pork
with no problem–so it’s not texture thing. And the things that are bothering
me may go down fine one day and the next cause pain. I did think at first that
it felt like I had to burp—but couldn’t—it was that kind of pressure and
pain. But when I end up spitting things up usually I have to spit everything
out to get any relief. Could it be air bubbles or maybe I am eating too
fast—I take a LONG time to eat and I take small bites. I honestly do not
think it’s a problem with my surgery, because there are times when I can eat and
I’m perfectly fine. Any suggestions while I wait for the doctor to call?
