question–doing it over

I am responding to the question of would you do it over. I am thrilled
with my surgery and the results. I feel and look like a normal person
and I eat like one, too.
This weekend I went to Indy for the formula 1 race with my husband and
15 of his friends. I enjoyed myself, I dressed in cute clothes and I
ate like a normal person. I was actually amazed at how much men eat in
general. I did have several comments about how little I eat from some
of the guys but they were happy to take my leftovers. I just said that
I eat until I am full not until I finish the plate. I was able to go
out for steak dinner and I had a little piece of corn muffin, a quarter
of a salad and about 6 oz of a grilled filet mignon and I was done and
satisfied. When everyone ordered dessert I was full enough not to want
it. Some of the guys even commented, “no wonder you look so great–you
know when to push the plate away.” I still get sick every once in a
while; I can’t do sugar and even sugar free stuff sets me back because

of the sugar alcohols but I eat well.
After 2 years, I still watch what I eat but I would have to watch what
I eat even if I hadn’t had surgery or if I was always a normal weight.
I am still working on losing weight. I am 5′3 and 138 and I would like
to get down to my ideal weight of 120 but if I don’t I still feel good
and look great. I would have also had the surgery much sooner too.
