Confused about drinking after eating
I’m trying to understand the no drinking after eating. I’m a little
over 3 months out and have lost over 80 lbs. but I am still trying to
figure out this drinking.
If a person eats and then drinks, doesn’t that mean that the food
that was just eaten would be “flushed” out and the calories wouldn’t
be absorbed? My mind says that would be the case, but my readings
doesn’t mention anything like that. I have always tried to wait at
least 2 hours to drink, which most of the times just drives me
crazy! I’m so thirsty but keep watching the clock.

The protein and nutritional value wouldn’t be absorbed either. Protein needs to
be digested in order for us to get what we need from it. Drinking too soon
after eating interferes with that. I wait 30-60 minutes after eating to drink.
