Obesity Surgery WP Blog

Hi everyone,
I want to thank all of you who have sent me words of hope,
encouragement and support. I had my surgery 12/2/02, laparoscopic
RNY. I couldn’t believe there was literally no pain. I have had many
surgeries and always awoke in recovery begging for pain medication.
Not this time. I only used the morphine pump on the 2nd day. On the
3rd day, I had the upper GI and it was great…no leaks! Now I am
learning to eat all over again. What can I have, what to avoid.
Drink slowly or it hurts a little.
Dr. Quebbemann said it took 3 hours and it was a textbook surgery. He
is the greatest and I know I was guided to him.
I will be lurking to learn everything I can.
