Country Buffet Restaurant
Hello~
I am 2 years 2 months post op and I am looking for anyone else on this list,
who carries a medical card on them issued by their doctor that entitles them
to be charged a reduced rate or child’s rate when eating in a restaurant.
What I am looking for is ANYONE on this list who has been denied by Country
Buffet Restaurant in particular - where they would NOT honor your medical
card.
Not all doctors give these cards to their patients after surgery but I would
like anyone who has been told they cannot be charged a reduced rate from
Country Buffet to please contact me directly off of this list ~ as to not tie
up the list with this.
I am in the process of putting together a lawsuit against them and just
wanted to know if there are any other people besides myself and some other
people in my area, who have been treated poorly by this establishment! I am
now 150 lbs less than I was 2 years ago and believe me you the half of me
that I have lost is really going to throw around my weight that I have left
when it comes to being treated like an outcast just because I have had weight
loss surgery!!!

I eat at Country Buffet often and have no problems using my card. They charge
me the price of an 8 year old child. You know, they aren’t obligated to take
your card, it is optional for any restaurant to do so. Why tie up the courts
with another needless law suit? The card you receive from your doctor does not
entitle you to anything—it informs the restaurant of your surgery and ASKS if
you could be charged either children or senior prices. The restaurants you go
to can decide to honor it or not. I have never been denied by any restaurant
where I’ve used mine.
