Nexium
Hi all
I’m Ami and my surgery is Monday. I have GERD and the surgeon told me
I should take my Nexium regularly before and after surgery, and the
pre-admitting nurse (a 10 year post-op) told me I could take it the
day of surgery. I guess I was too distracted to think about it at the
time, but how can I take my Nexium when I can’t take anything by
mouth before surgery? And with the capsules, how will I be able to
take them after surgery? Will I take the powder from the capsule and
put it into liquid? And silly me, I didn’t remember to ask how I’m
supposed to take the other 2 prescriptions he gave me to have filled
for after surgery — the pain and nausea meds. Crush them?
