Spicy post-ops

Hello All!
I am in the research/contemplating stage of WLS. I have found this
site extremely helpful and also addictive!
Thank you to all for the wonderful wealth of info!
I have a possibly silly question, but here it goes..
Do post-ops (after the gentle recovery time) have to beware of spicy
foods?

    Nothing silly about that. I love spicy food and have been eating it from
    about 6 weeks out. Chilli, garlic, ginger, curry, all no problem for me
    (thank goodness, because I love it). Of course, that doesn’t mean you
    won’t have a problem. One thing this group has taught me is how different
    our experiences can be. (and also how similar - but that’s humans for you).

    I’ve found that I want my food spicier then before surgery. I’m not sure
    why. I just crave food with more flavor. I added a few drops of tabasco to
    my soft foods with no problems when I was just a few weeks out.
