per-op nerves

Hi from Hilliard Ohio this is my first email to the group. My surgery date is
set for April at OSU. I am very excited and looking forward to it after 14
months of waiting. I am however getting a little nervous after reading about
the problems some of you are having post surgery. Please tell me how long it
takes you to be on your feet and doing OK. I am interested in finding out
about those of you who have diabetes and high blood pressure. How soon did
you go off your meds?

    Diane,
    I had a RNY on 6-7-02. I was off my diabetes and high blood pressure meds 3
    days post-op. I was off my CPAP (for sleep apnea) within 30 days/30lbs. YMMV

    I had my blood drawn this week (5 1/2 months post op) and got my results
    today! The doctor said my Diabetes is in remission!
    wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
