I am three months out (yesterday) would this be a good plan for me? 1000
calories seems like a lot, but is it if the calories are coming from
    protein? I am averaging burning 1851 calories a day and taking in 627;
however, I have not lost weight or inches for the past two weeks. Any
    help/advice would be great.

    Hi Gang,
Well, I guess Dr. Bock was right after all: “In order to lose
weight, you have to stay around 1,000 calories a day.”
I started this Challenge Feb. 12, after seeing Dr. Bock Feb. 11 for

my two year followup. That morning I weighed 208.5 on my scale.
    This morning I weigh 191.
    That’s 17.5 lb. down in 30 days!!!!
    Challenge Stats:
    2/12-18 -7.5 lb. (aver 1300-1400 cal/day)
    2/19-25 -2.0 lb. (aver 1300-1400 cal/day)
    2/26-3/3 -0.5 lb. (aver 1300-1400 cal/day)
    3/4-3/13 -5.5 lb. (aver 1000 cal/day) “Mini Challenge”
    From Feb. 12 - Mar. 2 I averaged around 1350 cal/day and was losing
gradually, but decided to do a “Mini Challenge” the last 10 days to
    test Dr. Bock’s “1,000 cal/day” rule. Honestly, I didn’t think I
    could do it…
From Mar. 3 - today I have averaged 1,000 cal/day and estimate my
current rate of weight loss between 2 and 3 lb./week.
I feel great! Here’s what I usually eat every day:
    Early a.m.
    Herbal tea
    Veggie shake - 60 cal.
    Vitamins
    Mid a.m. - breakfast
    English muffin - 110 cal.
    Cheese (80 - 110 cal.)
    2 oz. chicken - 100 cal.
    Mustard - 10 cal.
    Late lunch
    4 oz. chicken - 200 cal.
Tomatoes, carrots, snap peas - 90 cal.
Cut up fruit - 120 cal.
Lettuce, misc. lite veggies - 70 cal.
Balsamic vinegar for dressing, or I have 30 cal. (2 Tbsp) of lite
    dressing
    Late “dinner”
    Skinny cow - 130 cal.
Chicken or string cheese 100 - 200 cal.
    Cal. total: 850 - 1100
I don’t drink with my meals.
I eat three meals a day.
I don’t snack between meals - water and herb tea only!!
I feel full and satisfied - I’m never hungry.
I drink TONS of water and TONS of herbal tea before and between meals.
I wait TWO HOURS after eating before I drink liquids.
I work out at Curves about 3 times a week, walk on my treadmill or at
work the other days, and I’ve started a Yoga class.
You might have already guessed, today I am starting my “30 Day
Challenge, Part Deux”. This one will be 30 days averaging 1,000
cal/day. Watch for my report next month!!!
My goal is 158 lb. by August 12, 2003. My “Future 90 Days” graph in
Weight Commander predicts that I’ll be at 166 on June 10 if I
continue at my current rate of weight loss.
I am thrilled beyond words to be back on track to my goal weight. I
had honestly resigned myself to being satisfied with my weight loss
(over 100 lb.). When I saw and heard other WLS patients who had
reached their goal weight, I was SO JEALOUS!!! Now I plan to JOIN
THAT BUNCH, I DO I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
