How much time off of work will I need after open RNY?

I’m in a sedentary desk job and do not want to be away any longer
than is absolutely necessary. If there are no complications, how
long will it be before I can go back to work? I can start back part
time and from home if necessary.
If it matters any, I’m 33, 265 lbs and in good health.
Thanks!

I had an open, and and went back at 3 1/2 weeks - I also have a
sedentary desk job. I could have gone back at 2 1/2 weeks (had my
surgery on a wednesday) if I could have worked from home. I was ready
to do that - but not quite ready to go into the office. Sometimes I
needed to relax in the recliner in the middle of the day. That was
because my tummy/incision would get tired from sitting up - so I’d
recline in the recliner for awhile (watching the food channel) and it
would feel better - and I could sit at the computer again for awhile.
    Good luck to you.
