batwings

Hi friends
After a 100 pound weight loss, I have the dreaded batwings. Winter
wasn’t so bad since the long sleeves covered my arms. I am thinking
about surgery but my insurance won’t cover it. Has anybody had the
surgery and paid? How much did it cost?
Anybody have any remedies for the extremely dry skin on my batwings?
I use baby oil, while my skin is still wet from the shower, and then
follow with lotion and baby oil mixed together. What else can I do?
Thanks
Gwen

I have found that DRY vitamin E is GREAT for dry skin after surgery.
Its a capsul with powder in it. I open the capsul and put it in my shake.
    Works wonders for me.
    Hope this helps.

    Gwen,
Woohoo! Finally something I can answer, rather than just lurking &
    learning!
I am a soap/toiletry maker so I have done tons of research on this
subject. Baby oil is basically mineral oil, which is not absorbed well
by the skin. It sits on the surface and may offer temporary relief, but
no healing. You might wish to try a combo of good, healing vegetable
oils instead - I would recommend sweet almond, apricot kernel,
grapeseed, hempseed, avocado, and/or jojoba (not technically an oil, but
a liquid wax). You could also add a small amount of lavender essential
oil (very healing) and aloe leaf powder. I don’t know how “crafty” you
are, but if you’d like I can share my recipe for a wonderful salt scrub

to remove all the dead flaky skin, and a body butter for afterwards.
Please let me know if you are interested, or mail me privately if you
want me to whip something up for you.
    Stephanie
