Sugar grams post op? Yogurt?
I have been researching all aspects of WLS and I have been wondering
if you all could share with me your experience with your post-op
diets and your sugar intake. I know from reading here on OSSG & books
that sugar causes dumping. Yet I also have read that yogurt is
suggest for post-op diets. My question is, how many sugar grams are
post-ops recommended to steer clear of? I have noticed that yogurt
has anywhere from 15-22 grams of sugar? Wouldn’t that cause a problem
with dumping? Or is that not enough? How do you judge post-op what
would be OK to eat without dumping? (Is there a magic number of
grams?)
As far as yogurt goes are there certain brands or flavor that are
better for post-ops?
Thank you in advance for sharing your experience and knowledge.
