Question about Medic Alert
I have been thinking about getting a medic alert bracelet or
necklace. The question is, exactly what does one put on the thing? I
had a lap RnY. Do I put GBS Lap RnY? RGB? RYGBP? What would be most
recognizable to paramedics and doctors? Should I also state: NO NG
Tube?
Thanks!

I have one. On the information I filled out, I put “do not blindly insert NG
tube, use endoscopy” and I listed my surgery and what was done, plus my other
medical information. On the bracelet itself, it just says “call immediately”
with an 800 number. If you go to the website, it walks you through the process.

If you get your bracelet/necklace from Medic Alert, they have a
standard text that they put on it.
Mine says - roux-en-y, gastric bypass, place NG tube with endoscopy.
