Gab’s problem

Gabs -
Waht are you eating? And I’m not asking because I think it’s your fault - my
doc’s patients are on clear liquids for 4 weeks. When you take in nothing but
liquids, you put out nothing but liquids. Also, if your diet is high in milk,
sugar, etc., your problem may be related to dumping, even if you don’t
experience the palpitations, etc. And I think that SOME diarhea is part of the
process of adjusting . . .

I’m 3 weeks post op and would be doing well if it wasn’t for the

diarrhea. I’ve had it since I came home from the hospital.

can someone please explain “clear liquids” to me .. my surgeon
recommends liquids for 4 - 6 weeks post operatively but not clear .. I’m
curious as to what that refers to exactly ..

But that is the case no matter what consistency of food they’re eating,
clear liquid, ice cream, or meat loaf.
“Clear liquid” is not synonymous with “dumping” — there are high sugar
clear liquids and NO sugar clear liquids and everything in between.
