Thanks and response to “am i the only one”
Thanks everyone for all the wonderful emails about my post the other
day! This is one heck of a journey that is for sure!!! :o)
Now in response to am i the only one… nope just like the others
said… i too have had issues with diarreha since i had the surgery
and that was 3 months ago. I too was not lactose intolerate before
the surgery but have become since the surgery. But i also seem to
just have diarreha. I have tried many different things, meds and what
not and they have not done much to stop it. It seem that whatever I
put in my mouth has a risk of causing me to have diarreha (in a
sense).
What my nutritionist and surgeon have come to the conclusion is that
my body is losing fat at such a rapid pace and that i am excersing
so much (walking every day 1.5 to 3 miles daily and gym 3-5x’s a week)
and that my food intake is good but minimal because i truely have to
fight myself to eat because I don’t get hungry that is the cause of my
diarreha. So we are just watching me a little more closely then they
would their other patients. Doing blood work monthly right now. So
far everything is ok. I have had a lil problem with dihydration
though. I am working on getting more fluids in. I have been told to
get in some more carbs just yesterday, my avg is about 45 a day, so
will work on that. But since I feel very healthy and I look good they
are not too worried. They said to consider it a blessing of the
surgery..lol. Oh what a blessing, yeah right.
