Where can I find a healthy meal
Wow! That’s one HUGE container of protein!
BTW, this is directed to the chick that started the
thread, but I responded very late.
I drink protein every day with water. First and
foremost, find one that you enjoy. Lots of online
companies sell samples of their products for around
$1-$2. It is much cheapier to buy a few samples than a
big container.
You can also buy sugar free syrups online and flavor
the drinks a bit. For example, you can put a little
coconut and a little almond syrup in a chocolate and
have something that tastes sort of almond joy-ish.
Be careful with the quantity of water that you add. If
you add too much the drink tastes like a$$. Add less
water if the drink tastes funny or is too runny.
One of my favorite things to do with protein drink is
to mix it in the blender with some ice. I especially
like the chocolate flavor here because it tastes like
a Wendy’s Frosty.
You can mix 2 different proteins (half a scoop)
together for a different taste.
For a straight drink, I like the Sci Tech Protein
Delight brand best. It has little chunks of fruit.
But, as always, YMMV. You will probably not like the
things I like. My girlfriend couldn’t stand protein
drinks with water until she drank the Sci Tech (no
surgery for her).
I’m less than 6 months out. The reason I choose
protein shakes is that they give me a reasonable
amount of protein, they are convenient, and are
relatively low in calories. I get between 21g and 30g
of protein in each shake, at a cost of 110 to 150
calories each.
I mentioned that I am less than 6 months out because
anything I put in my pouch will fill me up. I’m rarely
physically hungry, but often have head hunger. So,
when I can’t beat down the head hunger, I drink a
shake. When I am working, I drink 2 to 3 a day.
Good luck!
