Jeannie - on eating, going to work

LOL! Yep, you’re paranoid! Can you stand 8 hours of work? Yes? Then go back.
At 3 weeks, you’re healed enough that you won’t pop open and spill your guts on
the floor. I hope! LOL! You are scarred closed, right?
As to food . . . lunchables, even a half, may be a little too much. Especially
too much chemicals . . . those kinda things give me problems these days. Much
prefer a slice of higher quality deli meat. SIts better. And the crackers
would make my stomach hurt . . . too many carbs. You might try the meat cheese
with a stalk of celery, *well chewed*.
Try cottage cheese, veggies (well chewed), cheddar cheese and other semisoft
cheeses, tuna salad, chopped chicken salad, for early forays into meat/proteins.
Try a little chicken, cooked soft, or chopped.
And low glycemic index veggies . . . salads, broccoli, green beans, etc.
Don’t know if your “hurt” is dumping or overfull, or just not settled well.
Good luck!

Subject: 3 weeks & 5 days out
I saw my doctor today for my 3 week 5 day post op visit. He says I’m
doing great. I’ve lost a total of 27.7 lbs. I asked the nurse that
if I went and tried to pee could I loose the .7? She laughed. My
doctor has started me on calcium, vitamin D and something for my gall
bladder. They look like horse pills. How am I suppose to take these
and won’t they upset my stomach? I’m worried. He’s also, ok’ed me
for regular food. In the past week I’ve had some soft food, but
solid food kind of scares me. I want to eat it, but it hurts
sometimes. Right now I tried eating 1/2 (2 oz) of a lunchable.
It’s very heavy and my stomach hurts a little. It use to seem like a
light lunch and it’s high in protein so, that’s why I thought to try
it. I’m still tired quite a bit of the time. I’m a substitute
teacher and school starts this week. I’m thinking of going back to
work. Should I or should I wait another week? I’m always afraid of
getting hit in the stomach. I continually keep my hand over my
stomach to protect it. One would think I’m pregnant. Well, I look
it, but it’s all fat. Am I being too peraniod and cautious? Maybe I
need to learn how to realax. How I can’t remember.

I just wanted to mention that I’ve had some of my worst dumping episodes
after eating a lunchable. If I pack a little of my own lunchmeat, cheese
and crackers in a ziplock bag I don’t have any problems, but a lunchable
will put me down! I did a number of experiments because they seemed so
convienent. I’m convinced that there’s something more to them than meets
    the eye.
I also wanted to mention that lunchmeat did take a while to go down
well. Three weeks may be too early for lunchmeat. Cottage Cheese is a
much better choice at that stage.
    Hope that helps,
