Subject: Getting back on track
I am writing to see if someone will tell me how to get back on track- I
have quit losing. I am 4 years out and still weigh 198- 206—–my weight at
my surgery date was 376, but for the last year I have been at a stand
still–
*Congratul;atiopns on what you’ve accomplished. :o)
<<always drink my water-usually most of it in the form of tea,
**** And are you anemic or have osteoporosis yet? Too much tea inhibits both
iron and calcium absorption . . . bad idea. Even decaf . . . it’s not just
caffeine, it’s tannins.
Tea is *not* water . . . water is water. Please cut back to one or two tea
“fixes” / day, and drink your water.
<< how much protein do I need?
USRDA for normies is 60 grams. We have surgically induced malabsorption, and

almost no digestion. Many of us believe we get *almost nothing* from food.
Which is why I do 4-6 (30 grams of protein) shakes/day. These are all very low
- no sugar, and 30 grams of protein. I take a boatload of vites, calcium
citrate, and iron. And I eat 3-4 times/day, small meals, low-no sugar. Low
carb.
<< Can I go back to just my shakes? I still drink an EAS shake daily, that has
15 grams of protein….
I think you need to eat in addition, but IMNHO, you need about 8-10 times as
much protein as you’re currently drinking. Got to VitaLady.com to get some
samples of Stack, IDS and/or Nectar . . . and start back on the losing way.
<<any advice on getting back in the running would be great–
thanks
Karen
Good luck with getting back on track . . . :o)
