New here Hello everyone and ranting about my problems
I a newbie here I been hoping to find someone who has gone
through what I ‘am going thru, I haven’t found no one yet so far
I had open r n y may 25th 2005 2 months ago I ‘weighted 449lbs and
yet so far I have lost 60lbs well before two week after surgery my
incision broke open and it needed repaired so I had to back under
and had it put back together but I stopped breathing so was put on a
vent for about 12 hours of so til the antesia[sp] wore off. Well I
stayed nausea and sick so doc ordered some xrays where you had to
drink that nasty white stuff well The results were it was flowing
thru my small intestine as it should but it was also draining into
my larger stomach that the staple line has broke down Well I was
freaking out 1 is that going back under again which would be risky
because of my breathing problems SO I got to speak with my doc a few
days later and he suggested that as long as I ‘am progressing
loosing weight that he would like to wait til next and do a revision
so he would give me a year. some time and maybe loose enough weight
a to not be such a high risk, here’s the deal I was so glad he said
No Surgery I almost ran out of his office but once I made it home a
got to thinking about things and now I been freaking I ;am wondering
where the staples are he staple me with and If I ‘am a time bomb
waiting to bust open what type of danger I ‘am really in if any I
don’t see him til next week and everyone has been talking about all
how risky a revision is they say 10 times the complications etc… I
wondering when he said revision if that just meant just fixing the
staple line so many questions I hope he can answer them to ease my
