I RESISTED! Also a quick sauce recipe!
Small victory today. Isaac started kindergarten today. After dropping
him off, the school had coffee and donuts in the quad for the parents. I
had a cup of coffee, and EYED the donuts, but didn’t pick one up! I
almost did, but told myself I had already had my breakfast, and that it
was just the emotions of dropping my only kid off for kindergarten, not
hunger. It wasn’t that hard (THIS time) to resist.
On another note, a quick tip for a sauce for chicken, fish, whatever.
Last night we had my mother and a family friend over for dinner. I fixed
salmon (broiled) and two sauces. Both sauces were prepared the same way,
and were super simple to make, and super tasty! A couple of large
spoonfuls of plain, full fat yogurt into a Magic Bullet cup, and a bunch
of whatever herb, whiz for a few seconds, throw into the refrigerator.
One was tarragon, the other was chives. Pretty, really easy, quite
tasty. Could also do it with basil or cilantro (but I don’t LIKE
cilantro) or your favorite herb.
