Wondering who is still here

I am just wondering who is still on here from when I last was around. I sent an
intro earlier and haven’t seen it appeared nor have I seen any posts. Is this
list still active?

I’ve been here since 2003, if that helps I have seen some of your posts, but not
    for a while.

    I’m here, Denise!
Can you believe it has been 4.5 years since my surgery? (April 5, 2001) I
have been here since about January 2001. I had a Roux en Y done by Julie
Ellner (once with Wittgrove, now on her own with Alvarado).
My life is amazing and difficult all at once - amazing in that I have kept
off 150 pounds (regained 40), became chronically ill (with disseminated
coccidiomycosis) and would not be alive if I’d not have had surgery, have
become a Licensed and Certified Professional Midwife, am now back in school
working towards a Master’s in Psychology (with a focus on women with birth
trauma), am still in a very challenging and rewarding relationship with
Sarah (20 years now!), 2 of my kids moved back home - one more is coming at
Thanksgiving, the last graduates in the top 5 of her class from Texas Tech
in May! I have become a wonderful photographer (love my Canon D!), also not
possible pre-op since I can move and walk and get anywhere, including teeny
tiny spaces where women choose to birth their babies or inside gardens

getting on the ground to take macro flower pictures.
I love my life since surgery despite being ill much of the time with the
cocci (which I got from the fires here in San Diego 2 years ago). I still
look and wonder “will I fit?” I still think clothes are too small when they
are really way too big. I still think I can eat a ton and try and put so
much on my plate but eat a quarter of it and throw the rest away. Sarah
    finally quit asking me why I was ordering appetizers, entree, and dessert;
she knew that wasn’t going to change (at least it isn’t 2-3 appetizers!). I
still dump and actually think I dump a little more than I did the second
year out. I get so sick to my stomach when I do stupid things like Cold
Stone ice cream. I now know to take one bite of someone else’s and order a
small child’s sherbet, still eating only half (it’s the milk/sugar combo
that causes the dump). I still can’t eat creamed soups.
But I can walk. :) And I’m alive. Bald from medications, poked every 6
weeks because of the cocci, busier at the hospital and doctor’s office than
    ever pre-op, but I don’t care. I am alive!
You know there is so much more to say, but this is a “yes! I am here” and
busy which is why I don’t post lots anymore. I see you have made it through
law school, yes? How is your baby girl?
If this group is inactive as another poster said, it only takes posts to
    get it moving again!
    Let’s go!
