WLS - Lap Band

Hey everybody out there!
Need to update you on a situation that happened to me on my surgery
date 10-25-2005. Everything was going well. I showed up at 06:30 at
Rivercrest Surgery Center in Little Rock, AR. I was prepaired for the
surgery that was to begin at 7:30. Everything was great. Blood
preasure 123/60. EKG was so normal that it was throwing out error
messages according to the anesthesiologist. After sedating me with
muscle relaxers, we proceeded to the OR. That’s when things got rough.
The
staff was unable to intibate me. I was half awake as this was going on
and tried to notify somebody that I needed air! Finally after a while
(I have no idea how long) I was able to breath but in the process,
they had canceled the surgery. I am now in the process of healing the
inside of my mouth (gums and teeth) from where the tubing actually
caused more damage than good. Also trying to get myself siked up and

to try it again. Has anybody experienced this problem? If so, how did
you proceed? Has anybody had this surgery in a surgery center as
opposed to a hospital?

Now that is very scary! Have you ever had an operation before? I doubt I
could get the courage up to go back….
